A new Research Topic in Frontiers in Plant Science – section plant breeding – has been launched. It addresses the regulatory frameworks for research and breeding, including those for access and benefit-sharing (CBD/Nagoya protocol, International Treaty), biosafety (CBD/Cartagena protocol, national and regional e.g. EU systems) and IP (plant breeder´s rights, patents etc). This is of much interest to all PGRIP members, as well as all other plant researchers and other users of plant genetic resources. Interdisciplinary co-authors teams are highly encouraged, as well as cross-cutting manuscripts that interlink and integrate various regulatory aspects related to the governance of PGR. Creative and forward-looking proposed solutions to existing issues and problems are particularly encouraged. You can read more details about this Research Topic at the Frontiers website.
